Yupeng wins singles gold at Asian Indoor Games

China’s Cao Yupeng defeated countryman Ding Junhui to win the men’s singles snooker event at the 2013 Asian Indoor Games in South Korea.

Through to the final following a 4-1 victory against Afghanistan’s Saleh Mohammad in the semi-finals, Cao then saw off Chinese number one Ding 4-2 to secure gold in Incheon.
Ding takes the silver medal, while India’s Aditya Mehta takes bronze, having lost out to Ding in the semi-finals.
Yupeng’s success completed a Chinese sweep after Ding had led Liang Wenbo and Tian Pengfei to success in the team event earlier in the week.
And Xiao Guodong was able to successfully defend the six-reds title he first won four years ago in Vietnam.
