World snooker's governing body has referred an investigation into allegations of corruption against former world champion John Higgins to the Sport Resolution Board UK.
Higgins (pictured left) and his manager Pat Mooney (pictured right) were caught on camera by the News of the World in May appearing to agree with Ukrainian businessmen to throw frames in return for 300,000 euros.
"Sport Resolutions deals with cases in various sports and is named in WPBSA disciplinary rules," WPBSA disciplinary head David Douglas said in a statement.
"It is completely independent of the WPBSA and we have no doubt that it will bring a fair conclusion to this matter."
Three-times world champion Higgins was suspended by World Snooker after the newspaper allegations came to light, though he and Mooney have both denied any wrongdoing.
Sport Resolutions is the independent dispute resolution service for sport in the United Kingdom, offering arbitration, mediation and tribunal appointment and administration services.
