The 31-year-old even managed a break of 145 in the seventh frame as he claimed a comfortable triumph over the former taxi driver.
The victory sets Selby up perfectly for his world title defence with Wilson not able to test him in the China showpiece.
Wilson, ranked at number 56 in the world, had shocked defending champion Ding Junhui with a 6-5 win in the semi-finals, but was unable to replicate that form.
Selby moved into a 3-0 lead and showed he was ready to storm through to take the trophy with a glorious 145 to race 6-1 clear.
A clearance of 136 made it 9-1 and he wrapped up victory with seven frames to spare to claim his second ranking title of the season.
