Mark Selby edges past Sam Baird in second round

Mark Selby's 13-11 victory over Sam Baird in the second round saw his qualify for the next stage of the World Championships.
Third session
At the start of the session, it appeared Selby would cruise to an ultimately comfortable win when he took the first two frames of the third session, scoring a break of 134 in the first. However, Baird then took four straight but scrappy frames to level the score.
Selby then held his nerves to fight back for the final two frames for a 13-11 win.

Second session
Baird took the lead for the first time in the match with the ninth frame, the first of the session, with a commanding 125-5 victory. Selby then scored the highest break of the game so far (115) to level, and then took back the lead.
Selby took three successive frames before Baird took the final frame of the session to cut the lead to 9-7.

First session
The first session finished 4-4 with both men swapping frames from the start. Selby took the lead with a break of 50 to win 71-34, but Baird hit back with a 50 break of his own to level at one frame all.
Baird scored the first century of the match to level at three all, and then next two frames were shared.
