Ebdon moves to fourth

Peter Ebdon has leapt up to fourth place in the latest World Rankings after winning the UK Championship.

The Dubai-based cueman joined the select band of players to have won both the World and UK titles by beating Stephen Hendry 10-6 In the final in York.
Ebdon is rewarded with a rise of six places in the provisional rankings from ten.
"It means more than anything to me to win this tournament," said Ebdon after capturing the seventh ranking title of his career. "So many great players have won both the UK and the World so to join that group is fantastic."
Hendry was denied a sixth UK crown, which would have equalled the record set by Steve Davis. But he does climb four places to seven.
John Higgins is the new provisional number one, he takes over from Ken Doherty having reached the semi-finals in York.
Finland's leading player, Robin Hull, climbs nine places to 38 after reaching the last 32.
China's Liu Song won three matches to qualify for the final stages and leaps 18 places to 71.
