Ronnie O'Sullivan is through to the final of the Masters following a 6-4 victory over Stephen Maguire on Saturday evening, in an encounter he described himself as boring.
He will face Ding Junhai to decide the winner on Sunday.
O'Sullivan started strongly, moving 3-1 ahead of his rival, before Maguire managed to claw the match back to 3-3.
That seemed to spur O'Sullivan on, and he produced a break of 130 in putting his opponent to the sword.
The player has been dogged by controversy in this year's tournament. The victory will come as a welcome relief to one of snooker's foremost entertainers.
However, he was not happy with the method of the win, saying after the match that it had been 'embarrassing'.
