Two left for Wembley spot

The pair have reached the final of the 58-man qualifying tournament in Sheffield as they bid to claim the 19th and final place in the prestigious Invitational event at the Wembley Arena.

Bingham defeated Michael Holt 5-3 and David Gray 5-2 on Tuesday while Selby whitewashed Joe Swail 5-0 before ousting Marco Fu 5-2.

The winner of the final will face world number 15 Ali Carter in the first round in London with Anthony Hamilton, ranked 16, against provisional number four Ding Junhui and world number 14 Matthew Stevens and fans favourite Jimmy White also in opening round action.

The top 13 in the world have received a bye into the second round.
