White, 54, continued his encouraging recent form with a 4-0 victory over Ryan Day, while O'Sullivan defeated Polish amateur Adam Stefanow 4-1.
It will be their second meeting in quick succession, with O'Sullivan winning 4-1 in Northern Ireland last month.
White will go into the clash on a run of 13 consecutive frames won, and he said: "It was a good result. I'm excited about playing Ronnie and I'll enjoy it and embrace it. I hope I put up a good show."
O'Sullivan is not in high spirits going into the match, due to being hampered by a damaged cue tip.
"Usually a new tip would take a while to get used to," Rocket Ronnie said. "I'll take it down as much as I can and hopefully it will be okay tomorrow. I'm cueing okay. I missed a few balls but I've been doing that all season.
"It will be tough against Jimmy. When we played in Ireland it wasn't the best of matches but Jimmy is playing better now so I'm looking forward to it."
The match is pencilled in for 13:00 on Thursday afternoon.
