Michael Holt hits back in snooker bust-up: I'm not a racist or a cheat

Michael Holt has claimed he is not "racist" or a "cheat" following an alleged row with fellow professional Eden Sharav at the Scottish Open in Glasgow.
Nottingham's Holt was involved in a bad-tempered last-64 match on Wednesday with world number 105 Sharav, who represented Israel in the snooker World Cup, coming through a final-frame decider 4-3.
But the action did not end off the table with world number 25 Holt claiming after his 4-0 defeat to Judd Trump in the last 32 on Thursday that Sharav had made allegations against him while planning to submit an official complaint to World Snooker.
Sharav took to Twitter to complain about Holt's conduct during the match. He later deleted the tweets, but they were screengrabbed by fellow professional Mark Allen, who published them on his own feed.
"I can't say much about it because he's said one or two things about me as a person," said Holt.
He has basically called me a racist and a cheat, and I have evidence to show this. Obviously, that's not very nice. I'm a lot of things, but I'm not a racist or a cheat.
"He wanted to take it further, and if he does take it further luckily for me all the matches are filmed. All the matches are filmed so that plays right into my hands.
"What can I say..we'll see."
A spokesperson for World Snooker said: "We can confirm there’s been an official complaint arising from the match between Eden Sharav and Michael Holt, it will be dealt with through the appropriate channels."
