Chris Corning and Zoi Synnott Sadowski take first wins of slopestyle season

There were first wins of the season in both the men's and women's slopestyle World Cups as Chris Corning and Zoi Synnott Sadowski were victorious in the Czech Republic.

Corning was the only man to break the 90-point barrier as he stomped down his second run to register a mark of 92.34 – following up his 86.00 from the first run.

Norway's Fridtjof Tischendorf came home second with a score of 87.20 from his second run, while Britain's Jamie Nicholls pulled a score out of the bag on his third run with an 86.40 to bag the bronze medal.

The win for Corning, only his third World Cup competition of the season, moves him up to ninth in the slopestyle standings while Nicholls' third place sees him jump into second place with a total of 2040.

America's Redmond Gerard continues to lead the way, though, with 2460 despite only managing a seventh place finish in Spindleruv Mlyn.

In the women's event it was New Zealand's Synnott Sadowski that got her first win of the winter with a score of 87.32.

Canada's Spencer O'Brien laid down a run of 81.22 with her second effort to take home the silver medal, while Silvia Mittermueller beat Britain's Aimee Fuller onto the podium by just 0.16 points.

The German's best of 73.40 was just good enough to edge out the Brit who moved up to fifth in the overall slopestyle standings.

Jamie Anderson still tops the leaderboard with 2400 points despite not competing in the Czech Republic, while her compatriot Julia Marino jumped ahead of Austria's Anna Gasser into second spot with her 24th position.
