Marco Melandri claimed the 100th World Superbikes win by an Italian rider on home tarmac in race two at Miasno.
The Ducati rider completed the century with the first Italian win since Melandri himself won at Magny-Cours in October 2014 - the veteran started 10th on the grid and worked his way to the front in a masterful performance.
Jonathan Rea finished second to extend his championship win to 50 points over Chaz Davies, who missed the race after fracturing vertebrae in an accidental collision with Rea in race one on Saturday.
Tom Sykes rounded off the podium in an attritional race that saw only 12 bikes finish.
Jordi Torres was on course for BMW's first podium since 2013, but suffered mechanical failure while running second.
