Triple silver for Great Britain's swimmers in Doha

Great Britain claimed three more silvers at the FINA World Swimming Championships in Doha, Qatar with Adam Peaty missing out on gold by the narrowest of margins after a close battle with Felipe Franca Silva in the final of the men's 100m breaststroke.

Despite beating his own Championship record by clocking a time of 56.35 Peaty, a double Commonwealth and four-time European champion this year, had to settle for second as the Brazilian took the title, and the record, by 0.06 seconds.
There was also success for Welsh swimmer Jazz Carlin who finished second in her women's 800m freestyle final.
Carlin, who won European gold in the same event in August, was 4.75 seconds behind Spanish winner Mireia Belmonte Garcia but took silver by the narrowest margin - holding off Sharon van Rouwendaal of the Netherlands by 0.01 seconds.
And the mixed 4x50m medley relay team made it a hat-trick of silvers for Great Britain in the final race of the day.
Chris Walker Hebborn, Peaty, Siobhan-Marie O'Connor and Fran Halsall posted a time of 1:37.90 which held off the Italian challenge but wasn't enough to overcome winners Brazil.
Peaty meanwhile was also in action again in the men's 4x50m relay where Great Britain's men finished fifth with a time of 1:32.30 behind Russia, USA, France and gold medallists Brazil.
In the women's 100m backstroke final there was disappointments for Georgia Davies who failed to make an impression and came in eighth with 57.77.
And there was semi-final action with O'Connor laying down a marker by qualifying fastest in women's 100m individual medley.
O'Connor took victory in heat one and was 0.23 seconds quicker than her nearest rival - Hungary's Katinka Hosszu.
However, there was less to cheer for Benjamin Proud who finished 14th overall in his 50m freestyle semi-final and failed to qualify for the final.
