Andy Murray sacks coach Dani Vallverdu

Andy Murray has fired coach Dani Vallverdu and fitness trainer Jez Green ahead of the new season, but Amelie Mauresmo will continue to lead the Scot for the 2015 season.

Murray’s friendship with Vallverdu goes all the way back to their days as teenagers, but it's believed tensions between the Venezuelan and Mauresmo have led to the split.
The Brit endured a difficult 2014 that culminated with a 6-0 6-1 demolition from Roger Federer. He failed to progress beyond the semi-finals in all four Grand Slams.
"We sat down at the end of the season and decided that a change would be best for all of us," said a statement from Murray’s management.
"My off-season training and Australian Open preparations have already begun and I am very excited for the new year.
"I thank Jez and Dani for all their hard work over the years and wish them the best for the future."
Murray appointed Mauresmo in June – three months after ending a two-year partnership with Ivan Lendl.
