Gilles Simon has told a French newspaper that the entire locker room will be cheering him on when he plays Novak Djokovic at the Australian Open.
Simon, who plays Djokovic on Sunday in the last of the three daytime matches on the Rod Laver Arena, told French sports newspaper L'Equipe that everyone is sick and tired of Djokovic's domination of the game.
"It's boring," he said.
"The players are getting tired of it... It's a bit humiliating."
Simon's odds of springing an upset don't look good, however: the duo have played each other ten times, with the Serb winning nine and the Frenchman one.
What's more, that sole victory came back in 2008, long before Djokovic had reached his peak.
Simon added that it's nothing personal, and explained that Djokovic's attitude is not the issue - just his invincibility.
"It's not that Novak became arrogant but on Sunday there will be many people rooting for me in the locker room. Almost everybody."
