Donna Vekic has branded Nick Kyrgios’ suspended 28-day ban “ridiculous” following a review into the Australian’s conduct at the Rogers Cup.

Kyrgios was picked up by on-court microphones making a lewd sledge to Wawrinka in Montreal earlier in August about the Swiss player's reported girlfriend Vekic.
Kokkinakis banged your girlfriend. Sorry to tell you that, mate.
The remark was in reference to Kyrgios’ Davis Cup team-mate Thanasi Kokkinakis.
Kyrgios was initially fined £5,000, but after an outcry the ATP upped it to £22,000 and handed him a suspended 28-day ban.
However, the suspension will be dropped if Kyrgios avoids being fined for verbal or physical abuse at an ATP event or swerves fines above £3,200 for other offences over the next six months.

Vekic, 19, was shocked at the announcement, telling the New York post: “He didn't get suspended. It's ridiculous. No more comment on this.”
Wawrinka had already lambasted his opponent on Twitter following their match, adding that he hoped the sport would take action against Kyrgios.
Kyrgios had previously taken to Facebook to apologise for the remarks.
