French Open, Day Five Order of play: TV details, match of the day, potential upsets and more

There are some big names back in action on the main courts today, including men's and women's world number ones Serena Williams and Novak Djokovic - both of whom are odds-on to wipe the Parisian clay with their lesser-known opponents.

Williams still retains the air of someone whose tournament it is to lose, not least since she seems to be rediscovering her form after a now slightly extended wilderness period, with Steffi Graf's Grand Slam record still eluding her. She's third up on Suzanne-Lenglen against Teliana Pereira of Brazil.
Preceding the Williams match on Roland Garros's second court is Djokovic against Belgium's Steve Darcis.
On the other main show court, Philippe Chatrier, former Wimbledon finalist Eugenie Bouchard faces Switzerland's Timea Bacsinszky (our potential 'upset of the day') before Rafa Nadal takes on Facundo Bagnis of Argentina. Jo-Wilfried Tsonga follows them with a potentially very tough clash with Marcos Baghdatis, the big-serving Cypriot, who is a former top 10 player and still in the top 40.

MATCH OF THE DAY

Fourth seed Rafael Nadal takes on Argentinian Facundo Bagnis for a place in the third round. You wouldn't expect Bagnis to inflict much damage here, with the French Open a particularly successful stomping ground of the Spaniard, having won seven of the last 10 competitions. Nadal has also looked good in the preparation for this tournament, but that said, he's not quite looked himself on clay for a couple of years now.

POTENTIAL UPSET OF THE DAY

Unseeded Eugenie Bouchard has seen better days on the women's tennis circuit, but with a career high ranking of No.5, a second-round meeting on the Philippe-Chatrier might be enough to put the wind up eighth seed Timea Bacsinszky. The Swiss beat the Canadian the only time they played - that was a few months ago at Indian Wells, which ended 6-2 5-7 6-2.

BRITWATCH

One of Great Britain's final hopes for the competition Aljaz Bedene battled through his first round match to set up a meeting with Pablo Carreno Busta. The Spaniard has a slightly superior ranking of 43 to Bedene's 66 and saw off 31st seed Federico Delbonis to get here. It could go either way, but at least Murray's still in the competition... For now.
