It’s a bumper day of action at the French Open on Wednesday with rained-off Novak Djokovic, Serena Williams and Andy Murray all in action… weather permitting, of course.

We don't want to get anyone's hopes up, but there's actually a dry day forecast today - and plenty of matches to get through after Monday's total washout was followed up by just two hours of rain-interrupted play on Tuesday.
With a massive backlog of matches to get through, Andy Murray's opportunity to book a spot in the semi-finals may finally have arrived - he just won't be allowed another day's rest between any of his remaining matches in the tournament, with the men's final due to take place on Sunday.

MATCH OF THE DAY

Can Richard Gasquet get that wonderful one-handed backhand into motion when it matters? A partisan Philippe-Chatrier will certainly hope so when his delayed quarter-final duel with Andy Murray commences. Those fans might not want a reminder of his record against the Brit, however. He’s lost all four of their Grand Slam meetings, including two at Roland Garros.

POTENTIAL UPSET OF THE DAY

Will Novak Djokovic return fired up and ready to finish the job against Roberto Bautista-Agut? Yes probably, but he did drop his first set of the tournament to the Spaniard before play was suspended for the first time on Tuesday. Having said that, the Spaniard also dropped his first set of the tournament to Djokovic immediately after play resumed. There's a lot of pressure on Djokovic to bag his first French Open title this time round. What we're saying is: anything could happen (but it probably won't).
