Men's 10th seed Tomas Berdych came through a tough match against Croatia's Ivan Dodig 7-6(5) 5-7 6-1 7-6(2) to move into the second round.
1145 PETKOVIC THROUGH TO ROUND TWO
Women's 32nd seed Andrea Petkovic came back from a set down to beat Wimbledon debutant Nao Hibino of Japan 3-6 7-5 6-2 to move into the second round.
