Nadal will now play Tomas Berdych in the quarter-finals, a player who beat the Spaniard at the Canada Masters in August.
Against Haas, Nadal just had too much pace and power for the German, which saw the 20-year-old superstar dictate proceedings.
He got the first of three breaks in the match, in the fifth game of the first set, which put him 3-2 up, and on his own serve he was dominant throughout.
Haas did get a window of an opportunity when Nadal was serving 4-3 up in the first-set, as he went 0-30 in front, but whenever he needed too, Nadal stepped up a gear and blew Haas away.
The world number two won the first set 6-4, and again got an early break in the second set which put him 3-2 in front.
Haas had his first and only break point of the match later on in the set when Nadal was 4-3 up, but the 13th seed couldn't close the game out, as the Spaniard won three quick fire points in a row.
That blow seemed to complete discourage the German, as Nadal then immediately went on to win the match with his third break of the evening, and set up a meeting with Berdych.
