Nishikori pushed hard by superb Khachanov

In a rain interrupted match the Kapanese sixth seed won the opening set, but then lost the next and was pushed hard thereafter by the 20-year-old.

He came through in the end, however, eventually winning 6-4 4-6 6-4 6-3.
"I played great tennis, I'm very happy," said Nishikori.
"Especially in the third set he was playing really well, serving very well...
"It was a tough time [but] after the rain delay I was playing good tennis."
Next up for Nishikori is France's Nicolas Mahut, who beat compatriot Paul-Henri Mathieu 6-4 6-4 6-2.

Kyrgios battles through

Australian bad boy Nick Kyrgios defied injury to surge into the third round.
Kyrgios showcased a serving masterclass to sweep past Horacio Zeballos 7-5 6-4 6-4 in one hour and 56 minutes.
Despite battling a painful hip flexor injury, the 14th seed was untouchable on serve, hammering down 27 aces and not offering his Argentine opponent a solitary break-point.
