Roger Federer’s Twitter tribute to Lleyton Hewitt goes wrong

Roger Federer was trying to pay tribute to Lleyton Hewitt after his last Wimbledon match... but it went a bit wrong.

Following the Australian’s five-set defeat to Finland’s Jarkko Nieminen, Federer tweeted both players saying ‘thanks for the fight’.
Unfortunately the Swiss master got 34-year-old Hewitt’s nationality wrong, putting ‘NZ’ for New Zealand by his name instead of ‘AU’ for Australia.
He quickly corrected himself of course, but will be hoping there won’t be any more minor slips when he steps on court against Damir Džumhur in the first round.
