12th WUC Wrestling: Day 2 of Competitions

CORUM - The excitement of 12th World University Wrestling Championship, which is hosted by Hitit University in Çorum, is going on. The second day of the championship ended with the Freestyle competitions in 61 kg, 70 kg, 86 kg and 125 kg on 26th October 2016.

Viktor Rassadin (RUS), who beat 6 rivals in Freestyle 61 kg, became the best in his category, followed by Timur Aitkulov (KAZ). Baljinnyam Dajmin (MGL) shared third place with Mehran Nasiriafrachali (IRI).

In Freestyle 70 kg, 10 wrestlers competed for the gold with Russian wrestler Nadirbeg Khizriev succeeding. While Ukrainian wrestler Vasyl Mykhailov became second, Hamed Rashidi (IRI) and Elaman Dogdurbek Uulu (KGZ) became third in the competition.

InFreestyle 86 kg, Iranian Mohammadjavad Ebrahimizivlaie and Hungarian Mihaly Nagy wrestled for the title with Mohammadjavad Ebrahimizivlaie claiming the gold. Adlet Davlumbayev (KAZ) and Bohdan Hrytsai (UKR) got the bronze.

The second day of competitions ended with the Freestyle 125 kg category. Sayedreza Musavikani (IRI) beat Yunus Emre Dede (TUR) to the gold with Alexandr Romanov (MDA) and Danylo Kartavyı (UKR) settling for the bronze.

The final ranking of freestyle wrestling competition ended as follows: 1. Iran; 2. Russia & 3. Turkey.
