WTCC legend Yvan Muller gets a new car
Yvan Muller has a new car for 2017 – although there are no plans for the FIA World Touring Car Championship legend to get back behind the wheel.
Muller retired from full-time drive at the completion of the 2016 season to focus on building his eponymous racing team and spending more time with his young family, having achieved more WTCC titles, wins, poles, fastest laps and laps led than his rivals.
Through his YMR/M.Racing outfit, Muller has acquired the all-new Norma M30 for use in the European Le Mans Series during the upcoming season. And the Frenchman is thinking big: “Even though it will obviously be a new car I trust that it can be really successful,” he said.
Meanwhile, the first World Touring Car Championship season to take place without Muller in action since 2005 begins with WTCC Race of Morocco from 7-9 April.
