Italian Federica Brignone won her third consecutive women's alpine combine in Crans-Montana after holding off the challenge of home favourite Roni Remme.

The 28-year-old produced runs of 1:30.92 and 44.26 for an overall time of 2:15.20 minutes, with Remme 0.38 seconds behind her as she took the silver medal.
Swiss star Wendy Holdener took the final spot on the podium, with her overall time of 2:16.24 seeing her just edge out compatriot Rahel Kopp for the bronze.

Brignone boosted her chances of a top-four finish in the overall standings with the victory, closing the gap on Nicole Schmidhofer – the downhill leaders – to just 35 points.
She faces a challenge to claim a podium finish, though, with Brignone more than 200 points behind Holdener, who defended her combined title at the World Championships earlier this month.
Remme's second-place finish in Crans-Montana was her first ever World Cup podium, while runaway overall leader Mikaela Shiffrin elected not to compete due to a severe chest cold.
