The Frenchwoman took her 13th World Cup win and her first-ever in Soelden on her 12th start as she edged out Federica Brignone by 0.35 seconds.
Italy's Brignone had led the way after a shortened first run in difficult conditions, which resulted in the start being moved down due to poor visibility, compounded by windy snowfall.
But Worley held her nerve to top the podium ahead of Brignone and Olympic champion Mikaela Shiffrin, who finished third, before revealing the difficulties posed by the Rettenbach glacier.
"It was very bumpy, very difficult, we couldn't see much and I knew it was going to be a fight with the slope and also with all the other girls," she said.
"I just wanted to charge and have no regrets at the end. It's so cool to feel this [winning feeling] again.
"I'm used to being a little tense at the beginning of the season, not being able to deliver my skiing, but I think it was much better this time."
Worley's victory was the first for a Frenchwomen in Soelden and also meant she moved up to joint-seventh on the all-time list for the giant slalom, alongside Sonja Nef and Deborah Compagnoni.
