Tillery, who had eight sacks this past season, is expected to need three to
four months of recovery time from the procedure to repair a torn labrum.
Tillery is viewed as a possible second-round pick, according to projections,
but could end up being a late first-round pick.
The 6-foot-7, 305-pounder had 12 1/2 sacks in his four seasons at Notre Dame.
Of his 133 career tackles, 23 were for loss.
Tillery is expected to be at full strength at the start of NFL training camps.
