Katarina Johnson-Thompson wins two events at Loughborough, her first competition since Commonwealth Games

Katarina Johnson-Thompson took victory in the 100m hurdles and the 4x400m relay at the Loughborough International. Johnson-Thompson was competing in her first competition since last year's Commonwealth Games. She ran 13.73 seconds in the 100m hurdles and held off the chasers in the second leg of the relay. Johnson-Thompson is preparing for the World Athletics Championships in Budapest.

Katarina Johnson-Thompson won the 100m hurdles and the 4x400m at the Loughborough International in her first competition since the Commonwealth Games last August.
The 2019 world heptathlon champion ran 13.73 seconds in the 100m hurdles which was 0.8 seconds ahead of Mia McIntosh.
Johnson-Thompson ran the second leg of the 4x400m relay, in a team comprising of Ama Pipi, Poppy Malik and Louise Evanswhich, which England won in a time of 3:37.03.
Johnson-Thompson was competing for the first time since winning gold in the heptathlon in the Commonwealth Games last August.
Johnson-Thompson also took part in the shot put where she finished ninth after throwing 13.13m. Winner Amelia Strickler threw 17.25m.
The Loughborough International Athletics event is traditionally seen as the beginning of the outdoor season.
Johnson-Thompson will be looking to build on her victories by securing qualification for the World Championships in Budapest which runs from August 19-27.
The 30-year-old will next compete at the Hypo-Meeting in Austria next weekend.
KERLEY WINS 100M IN JAPAN
At the Seiko Golden Grand Prix in Japan, world champion Fred Kerley won the 100m in a time of 9.91 seconds.
He finished 0.19 seconds ahead of second-placed Rohan Browning and Ryuichiro Sakai in third.
Ahead of a Diamond League showdown with Olympic champion Marcell Jacobs on May 28, Kerley said he is "the fastest man in the world, no doubt about it".
