Andrew Butchart has set out his aims and ambitions for the coming year, and if things go to plan, it's looking like his 2018 will be just as successful as the two previous years.

With both an Olympic and World final under his belt, Butchart has identified the Müller Indoor Grand Prix Glasgow on February 25 as being his first major outing of the new year.
After that comes the Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast where he will be representing Scotland and the 26-year-old admits the chance to race with a home crowd behind him in Glasgow is one he will relish.
Butchart is a three-time Scottish record holder and will face Olympic and world medallists Conseslus Kipruto and Paul Chelimo over 3000m in February.

"2018 will be yet another huge year for me, and to kick it off at the world's biggest and best Grand Prix on February 25 will be incredible, especially with it being on home soil and with the crowd in my corner," Butchart told British Athletics.
"Having competed at the 2016 Grand Prix in Glasgow I know that the noise made by the fans inside the arena is incredible. With the field I will be up against, they play such an important role for me, and I'm determined to kick off my 2018 with a bang on home soil."
