Garnett, James lead way

Kevin Garnett and LeBron James lead the way among voters for the National Basketball All-Star Game in balloting while Chinese center Yao Ming sets the pace among non-US players.

In the final update before voting concludes January 20, Garnett leads all players with 1,756,251 votes with James joining him in an Eastern Conference forward slot with the second-best vote total at 1,564,974.
Houston Rockets center Yao leads players from outside the United States as well as Western Conference centers with 1,255,263 votes.
Other Eastern Conference vote leaders for starting spots include Orlando's Dwight Howard at center with 1,456,898 and Miami's Dwyane Wade with 1,179,889 and New Jersey's Jason Kidd at guard spots with 868,069.
Kobe Bryant leads all Western Conference players with 1,441,333 votes with Yao's teammate Tracy McGrady next among West guards at 907,639.
San Antonio's Tim Duncan, leads Western Conference forwards with 1,246,125 with Denver's Carmelo Anthony second with 1,218,106 votes.
