The home fans had plenty to celebrate in France too, with Martin Fourcade finishing in second while compatriot Antonin Guigonnat rounded off the podium.
Both were to be faultless with gun in hand, with six-time overall World Cup winner Fourcade once again frustrated by the Norweigan to finish more than 20 seconds off the pace.

Thingnes Boe beats Fourcade with impressive display

"Of course, I am not satisfied, I expect myself to get things, I will use the Christmas break now, and then with more energy to start the new year,” said Fourcade.
"With zero errors at the shooting range Boe is currently unbeatable.”
Meanwhile Guigonnat finished third, 13 seconds adrift of his French teammate, while perfect shooting was yet again not enough for German Simon Schempp.
He crossed the line in fourth, replicating his finishes in both the sprint and pursuit in Hochfilzen last time out.
