Germany’s Laura Dahlmeier looks to be peaking at just the right time ahead of the Winter Olympics as she won the women’s pursuit in Antholz.
Dahlmeier looks to be the in-form athlete just three weeks away from the Pyeongchang Olympics, after she claimed her second win of the season in the biathlon World Cup.
The German won in 29:45 minutes ahead of home favourite Dorothea Wierer of Italy and Darya Domracheva of Belarus.
Eckhoff finished off the podium in fourth with Finland’s Kaisa Mäkäräinen in fifth and Galina Vishnevskaya of Kazakhstan in sixth.
The result moves Dahlmeier onto 450 points in the World Cup standings, enough for fourth place overall, with Mäkäräinen still leading the way on 544 points with eight events remaining this season.
