Johannes Thingnes Boe continued to close the gap on Martin Fourcade in the biathlon World Cup with victory in the 10km sprint in Italy.
After Fourcade won four straight races in Annecy and Oberhof, Boe hit back with the last event of last weekend's Ruhpolding World Cup.
And he has kept that momentum going with a victory in the first event at Antholz-Anterselva.
He could not shake Fourcade off though, with the six-time overall World Cup champion finishing 12.8s behind the Norwegian in second.
That makes it the seventh time the pair have shared the top two spots in the last ten men's World Cup races and another illustration of the pair's dominance over the rest of the field.
Germany's Arnd Peiffer finished a distant third, nearly 30 seconds behind Fourcade, with the Frenchman still leading the overall standings on 720 points, just 38 ahead of Boe.
And his lead in the sprint standings is even more precarious, with the Norwegian just 18 points behind his rival.
The duo lead the way in each of the World Cup standings this season, with Boe having the upper hand in the individual and mass start events – the latter of which will be contested on Sunday, in Italy.
