Norwegian Boe has won a remarkable ten of the 13 races this term, and now four on the spin, to build up an essentially unassailable 231-point lead atop the overall standings.
His latest victory in Italy was predicated on speed over the snow, especially on the final 3.3km loop, as he missed one target on the standing range, although did shoot clean on the prone.
He crossed the line in a time of 23:53.9, a mammoth 17.5 seconds ahead of compatriot Erlend Bjoentegaard, who earned a first podium of the season by taking silver.
Antonin Guigonnat incurred one penalty but still held off French teammate Martin Fourcade for bronze – with five-time Olympic gold medallist Fourcade shooting cleanly but too cautiously.
Boe becomes the fourth man to win ten individual Biathlon World Cup races in a single season, after Ole Einar Bjoerndalen, Fourcade and Raphaël Poirée.
