Marte Olsbu Roiseland anchored Norway to a first women's relay gold of the season when it mattered most at the World Championships in Ostersund.
The 28-year-old, twice silver medallist at the 2018 Olympics in PyeongChang, was part of back-to-back near misses as the Norwegians settled for second in Ruhpolding and Canmore last month.
But they wouldn't be denied in front of a packed Swedish crowd, Olsbu Roiseland single-handedly overhauling the host nation's 21-second lead going into the closing, standing stage.
The triumph is Norway's first on foreign soil in over six years – the last coming at the 2013 World Championships in Czech Republic.
Earlier, 15k individual world champion Hanna Oeberg had stretched Sweden's lead to 35 seconds but used all three spares in the final standing stage and Olsbu Roiseland pounced.
Olsbu Røiseland and teammates Synnøve Solemdal, Ingrid landmark Tandrevold and Tiril Eckhoff finished 24.3 seconds ahead of Sweden, while Ukraine finished third.
