"I decided to change to biathlon after the 2002 Olympics, because I felt I had reached a level where I couldn't get any better," said Olofsson, who also heads home with a silver from the Sprint.
"I thought I still had something to give in sport, though, and I found biathlon a lot of fun. But, yes, I am a bit surprised by how fast the success has come."
The Swede - whose best Olympic cross-country performance was 30th in the Salt Lake City 15km mass start - missed once on her final visit to the range to give Wilhelm a glimmer of hope.

"I haven't thought yet about what the win means for Sweden, but it means a lot to me!" said the 32-year-old.
