Franceso Friedrich kept up his bid to triumph in every IBSF Bobsleigh World Cup two-man race of the season as he and partner Thorsten Margis emerged victorious from Lake Placid.
The double Winter Olympic gold medallist has now won each of the seven season events so far this campaign, with just one more remaining in Calgary.
The German duo carded a first run of 55.97 seconds, a time that would prove to be the fastest seen on the American ice over the course of the day, to give them a hefty advantage heading into the second.
A 56.38s result saw them home comfortably ahead of French pair Romain Heinrich and Dorian Hauterville, 0.28s back for their first podium of the year, with Canadian duo Justin Kripps and Cam Stones completing the top three, 0.3s behind the winners.
