Elana Meyers Taylor ended German dominance of the bobsleigh World Cup season so far by claiming an impressive win in St Moritz in the women's event.
The American loves this Swiss track – she has now won here four times in a row – and along with brakewoman Lauren Gibbs she was too strong for the Germans on Saturday.
Thus she becomes the first non-German to claim a bobsleigh World Cup win this season across both male and female disciplines.
Second on the day was Stephanie Schneider while Olympic champion – and still the overall leader in this season's standings – Maria Jamanka was third.
Stephanie Koehler was fourth and that means that Meyers Taylor – who has made the podium in all five races of her season so far but has finally claimed her first win – is still fifth overall but closing all the time.
Great Britain's Mica McNeill was fifth on the day – she sat fourth at the halfway stage – and remains ninth overall.
