Germany I edge closer

Sandra Kiriasis's Germany I sled moved closer to the women's Olympic bobsleigh title by clocking the fastest time in the penultimate run on Tuesday.
Kiriasis and brakewoman Anja Schneiderheinze were a relatively comfortable O.53 second ahead of the United States I bob driven by Shauna Rohbock before the final, medal deciding run down the Cesana track later on Tuesday.
Local favourite Gerda Weissensteiner, driving Italy I, was in third position, 0.61 second off the pace.
Susi Erdmann, who was second in the Germany II bob after Monday's first two runs, dropped to fourth but remained in contention for a medal, O.17 second off third place.
