By Teddy Stenmark: Charismatic Professional heavyweight boxer from Finland, Tony Halme has been found dead at the age of 47 according to reports in the Finnish media.

Halme, a very popular athlete and also for a period a politician in his native Finland will be remembered mostly for his wild and tough character and his domestic battles in Finland with fellow countrymen, Mika Kihlström, and Jukka Järvinen in highly publicised bouts in Finland that gathered large crowds and sold out promotions.

For those of you who are familiar with the professional wrestling circuit might remember him as Ludvig Borga. He compiled a professional boxing record of 13 wins and six defeats durng the period between 1995 and 2002.

Halme also had a few MMA-bouts but wasn’t very successful. He lost to among others Randy Couture.
