Joe Joyce makes light work of Rudolf Jozic with first-round stoppage

Joe Joyce registered a first-round stoppage as he won his second professional fight with some ease.

The Olympic silver medallist barely let Croatian Rudolf Jozic breathe at their London clash and, when he caught him with a crunching right hook on the stroke of the bell, his opponent had no answer.

He tried to take the count but quickly lost his footing, forcing an early end at York Hall.

“I made sure I got a good warm-up and was straight in and ready to go,” Joyce, who has now won his two professional fights, told Dave.

Promoter David Haye said: “I was very happy. He landed beautifully.”
