Linfoot wins race two as Haslam extends showdown points lead

Dan Linfoot won a thrilling race two of the BSB Showdown at Oulton Park by just five hundredths of a second ahead of Leon Haslam.

Bradley Ray secured his first BSB podium finish in third, while Shane Byrne was the weekend's big loser with his seventh place in race two coming on the heels of a ninth in race one.

Linfoot, who did not qualify for the showdown, has won two of the last three races and might have had a hat-trick but for a mechanical issue in race one on Sunday.

Despite being pipped for victory, Haslam's second place saw him strengthen his position at the top of the points standings.

He leads by 22 points from Josh Brookes, with Byrne slipping back to third overall.
