Alex Premat was once again the star performer as the 24-year-old Frenchman had his second day of running in a ChampCar World Series machine at the MSR Raceway in Houston.

Premat, 24, was the fastest driver for the second day running as he completed his test with Conquest Racing - lapping the circuit in a time believes to be 1:11.800, even though no times were officially recorded.
His French compatriot Guillaume Moreau - who was also running for the second day with Conquest - was just under a second behind after completing 100 laps of the Texan track.
Also at the track for a second day were series newcomers Pacific Coast Motorsports, running in a pair of chassis borrowed from Rocketsports.
After a series of familiarisation runs on Tuesday, drivers Ryan Dalziel and Alex Figge worked on race set-up and long-fuel runs on the second day of the test, ending up slower than the Conquest cars.
"I learned a lot today because we tried a lot of different scenarios during the runs," Figge said. "We worked on fuel conservation, which is tough because it is a challenge to keep your pace up while saving fuel.
"Our guys would change the emphasis during the run, making us work on different things, and I think it was a valuable day."
Also present were Forsythe Racing, who ran Speedworld GT champion Lawson Aschenbach on what was his first outing in a ChampCar, and German Andreas Wirth, who made his series debut late this season.
The pair focused on testing 2007 parts, limiting them to short runs, but Aschenbach was still impressed.
"This was the most unbelievable experience I have ever had in a race car," said Aschenbach.
"These cars have incredible braking capability and everything happens so fast. I didn't want to go off and do anything stupid so I started slow and worked my way up, and I reached all my goals for the day."
The test concludes on Thursday.
