Klaebo pips De Fabiani to triumph in Val di Fiemme

Klaebo enjoyed a sterling 2018, winning three Olympic golds in PyeongChang, and the 22-year-old is looking in fearsome form once more after his performance on the Italian slopes.
He clocked 40:52.6 in a sprint finish with Italian Francesco Fabiani crossing the line 0.6 seconds behind in the penultimate stage of the Tour de Ski.
Russian Alexander Bolshunov continued his consistent form by sealing third in 40:55.2. His lead over Klaebo atop the overall World Cup standings has now been cut to 32 points, Bolhunov on 562 to Klaebo's 530.
Klaebo, meanwhile, has four victories from six Tour de Ski events with the final climb, also in Val di Femme, set for Sunday.
