Maja Dahlqvist sees Sweden to World Cup team sprint success

Maja Dahlqvist led Sweden to stunning final-straight victory over Norway at the FIS Cross-Country World Cup in Lahti, Finland.

The 24-year-old prevailed in a thrilling denouement on the final hill approach, outpacing Maiken Caspersen Falla around the bend to clinch gold alongside Ida Ingemarsdotter.
They crossed the line in 18:24.96s, 1.84 seconds ahead of the Norwegians.
Dahlqvist scooped her second team victory of the World Cup season, having triumphed in Dresden alongside Stina Nilsson.
Both Dahlqvist and Hanna Falk recovered from slips and hauled themselves onto the podium, Falk collecting bronze alongside Evelina Settlin.
