Stina Nilsson won her first World Cup cross country race of the season after victory in the individual 1.5km sprint in Davos.
The Swede was joined on the podium by compatriot Maja Dahlqvist – who finished third. While American Sophie Caldwell was second.
Overall it was a good day for the Swedes as all six made it into the semi-finals with four going into the final.
But in the final Nilsson – the Olympic champion earlier this year in the sprint – took command early on and was never really threatened.
And after a second-place finish in the first sprint of the season in Lillehammer last month, Nilsson moves to the top of the discipline standings.
It was not a good day for Norwegian Maiken Caspersen Falla – a former Olympic sprint champion in Sochi – who failed to progress from the quarter-finals.
