Stina Nilsson capped a superb weekend with team sprint victory as Sweden combined for a one-two at the Cross-Country World Cup in Dresden.
Nilsson, who raced to a fourth individual World Cup victory of the season yesterday, grabbed emphatic gold alongside Maja Dahlqvist in the team event a day later with a 24:02.45s race.
Compatriots Ida Ingemarsdotter and Jonna Sundling, racing as the nation’s second string, secured silver over a minute behind in a photo finish for a place on the podium over 6x1.6km.
They finished in exactly the same time as Norway and United States but clinched second by a nose, with Norwegians Mari Eide and Maiken Caspersen Falla settling for bronze.
Sweden trail leaders Norway and Russia in the overall cross-country Nations Cup, with the third team event of the season set for Ulricehamn later this month.
