Sundby secures World Cup title after Oslo win

With four races remaining, the Norwegian now has an insurmountable lead in the standings after clocking his fifth World Cup win of the season.

After missing the race in Drammen earlier in the week, the 32-year-old fought out front for much of Saturday's race alongside Finland's Iivo Niskanen before opening up a lead with three kilometres remaining. He eventually finished in a total time of 2:02:59.7 with Niskanen 9.9 seconds back. Russia's Alexander Bessmertnykh rounded off the podium, 14.27 seconds behind the victor.
