Norwegian Sindre Bjoernestad Skar powered to a first win of the cross-country World Cup season as he sealed 1.6km sprint success in Dresden.
Skar crossed the line in 3:25.94, with Russian Gleb Retivykh hot on his heels, clocking 3:26.05 en route to silver.
And Erik Valnes put in a gutsy effort in Germany to ensure two Norwegians made it onto the podium as he claimed bronze in 3:28.77 for his first top-three result of the season.
Skar's triumph, beating his previous season's best finish of fourth, closes the gap in the sprint World Cup standings on compatriot Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo, with Klaebo's lead over Skar cut to 59 points.
