China romped to victory once more on the third day of the World Women’s Curling Championship in Denmark.
Their fourth win of the Championship so far keeps them top of the round-robin table after session six, in which there were only three matches taking place.
And Latvia will have been devastated to let their first win slip through their fingers having taken a 5-2 lead, as China won 6-5 with the last stone.
Meanwhile, Russia survived a fightback from Japan to beat them 8-4 as skip Alina Kovaleva contributed half of her teams’ total points.
"It’s very important for us – as it is for every team – to keep winning and in that game, we just wanted to get back on track following the loss in our last game," she said.
"We are always quite happy and smiling and in a positive mood – it works for us."
And finally United States had skip Jamie Sinclair to thank as they overcame Finland 6-3.
"It was a little bit nerve-wracking and we were in a bit of trouble,” said Sinclair.
"The end definitely got away from us and it was a lot messier than we were anticipating.
"I was just happy to lob one in there. It was a little bit of a momentum switch and we carried that on through the rest of the game."
