The Swiss pair fell to Canada in yesterday's Group A opener and were pushed all the way by South Korea's Hyeri Jang and Chiwon Choi, but sealed victory with a point on the hammer in the eighth end to keep their qualification hopes alive.
On a busy morning of mixed doubles action in Sweden, which saw two single-stone shoot-outs, the hosts toppled Canada 10-9 to become the only pair across both groups with a perfect record from their two games.
Camilla Noreen's final stone was measured as being just 0.5cm closer to the button than Colton Lott's to send the partisan crowd wild after the dramatic shoot-out finish.
Elsewhere, Group B is finely poised, as all four sides sit level with a win apiece to their names, the United States beating Russia 9-6 and China toppling Norway 10-6.
In the only other fixture of the morning session, Scotland's men's four grabbed their second successive win with a well-earned 5-4 triumph over Norway.
